Mrs. Harrison
Mrs. Harrison has been teaching for Hooker Public Schools for 29 years. She teaches English I/II and Pre-Advanced Placement English. In her tenure, she has also taught middle school English and English III. Prior to her employment at HHS, she did some substitute teaching following college but her first and only fulltime position has been with Hooker Public Schools.
Mrs. Harrison has coached Cross Country and Softball in the past. Currently, she is coaching Competition Cheer and is assisting Mrs. Valerius with the Hooker Junior High cheerleaders and spirit building activities. Additionally, Mrs. Harrison is a sponsor of the Class of 2015 and is the Director of the Annual Miss Hooker Scholarship Pageant.
Mrs. Harrison graduated from Hooker High School with the class of 1975. She continued her education at Oklahoma Panhandle State University and Oklahoma State University where she received her undergraduate degree. Since receiving her degree, Mrs. Harrison has taken more classes with Northwest Louisianna State And OU. While attending OSU, Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, the President's Leadership Council and the Patching Panel of Outstanding Freshmen Women. Her extracurriculars and intramural sports included all girl and co-ed basketball, flag football, swimming, Greek All Star Basketball Team, English Club and many others not mentioned.
Mrs. Harrison claims Hooker as her hometown and currently lives in rural Tyrone. She is married to David Harrison, a farmer and rancher from Tyrone. They have three adult children with spouses - Ashlee (son) and his wife Scotty and their three grandchildren, Ashton, Avery and Ella; Riley (son) and his wife Kylee; and their youngest Kylee.
Mrs. Harrison would like to share that she is and always will be a HOOKER BULLDOG and an OSU COWBOY.
